The 104th General Assembly began today, the start of my 5th General Assembly with the Senate.

We were delighted to be back in the Senate Chamber! It looks amazing - the new skylight is stunning.

This is great news and something that would ease my worries about getting an electric vehicle. I can’t wait until I can buy a car that drives itself and runs on electricity 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

For the life of me I can never get it straight whether ending DST would make it stay light later or get light earlier 🤔
Let’s take this for a spin. What ideas do you have for a new state law???

I’ll start - we have GOT to end Daylight Saving Time (Permanent DST, please!).

What about you?

I bought my blue friendship bracelets from the Stax Bracelet Project www.staxbraceletproject.com! Almost half of all proceeds for these go to the Center for Reproductive Rights. Mine say “Blue Mom” and “Hope & Democracy.” One for who I am and one to remind me what we’re working for.

Time will tell how much they really hold him accountable, but I will watch. They aren’t “giving” him a platform. The campaign is over and he has a platform as the incoming president. If every media outlet turns away, what are we left with? State-run media that only reports his messages of success?
"What we did agree on was to restart communications" -- Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski announced this morning that they traveled to Mar-a-Lago over the weekend to meet with Trump

They report this as though he cares about what the Constitution says 🫠
President-elect Donald Trump has mused more than once that he might like to run for re-election again in 2028 and seek a third term. The Constitution's 22nd Amendment does not allow it. Here’s why. nyti.ms/48YhdBV

It’s not the picks that thrill his voters. It’s the outrage at the picks. So many voted for him to “own” the other side, and he is delivering on that.
Democrats, and even some Republicans, worry that President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees for top positions in government are inexperienced, conflicted and potentially reckless. His voters described them as mavericks recruited to shake up Washington.
