うちは無料公開作品の翻訳も掲載も全面許可してるんだけどこれは決してボランティアでやっているわけではなくて、そもそもうちの作品のファンって何故かめちゃくちゃ海外の方が多いんですよね。ファンコミュは半分くらい海外の人だしプレミアムプラン10年選手の人もいる。何ならお金払ってないのに翻訳してもらっててありがたいのは私の方だと思ってるから無料で読んでる人も翻訳者の方も全然気にしなくて良いです

you often hear about epithets creating unintended distance but any mom pov with 'the girl' as an epithet or 'my girl' being used in dialogue to a third party just carries this perfect mix of condescending affection. any time i hear the latter irl i feel like i'm going to pass out

funniest part of the english ichito revival so far has been the collective hyper-elated delirium like everyone is coming out of anesthesia. a MD poster "can't wait for the grandma to show up" and someone got mad at them for spoilers. another seems to think there's an untranslated R18 chapter

pretty sure based on the timeline ayako was married less than a year so despite how suspicious i would be of a guy who proposes a manipulative marriage of convenience i'm just going to assume they got married, conceived asuka, never had sex again, and then atsushi got fatally t-boned in akira's car

now that i'm (hopefully?) coming to near the end of this WIP i think the most important lesson i've learned is that ichito is about an unexploded world war ii bomb accidentally discovered by a construction crew trying to build a shopping mall. miyuki finds the bomb + kicks it really hard in volume 9

thinking about ichito relationship dynamics, i think one of the things that grounds it are all the relationship grey areas. asuka doesn't really despise akira. ayako and akira exist in a sort of between-exes-and-friends place. asuka has mixed feelings about miyuki. jun tolerates being rejected. etc

always get nervous about long paragraphs but use a pretty big font size in scrivener so i finally decided "i'm going to go check the word count of the longest reasonable paragraph in this good fic i'm reading" and it was *155 words* and took up the whole screen. i was feeling like 90 was too much...

i once searched "momcon" here only to inexplicably find disastrously bad take about cast iron maintenance & almost became a reply gal right there. it haunts me every time i clean pans so i need to say it. you can use dish soap & scrubby sponges on seasoned cast iron. you can soak them too. it's fine
