ICE cannot make random traffic stops. They can only stop a vehicle if they have a reasonable suspicion of an immigration violation or they have an official warrant. ICE can only detain people they have a reasonable suspicion of a person being undocumented or if they have a valid immigration warrant. ICE cannot detain US citizens. ICE can only draw a gun if there is an IMMEDIATE THREAT of serious harm. ICE cannot use guns to intimidate. ICE cannot threaten bystanders. ICE has no authority over US citizens or people filming or passing by. Being nearby is not a crime. ICE cannot stop, detain, or threaten US citizens.

A post from Minnesota House DFL states In the last week, ICE officers in Minnesota Shot and killed a woman in broad daylight Denied medical care after shooting that woman three times Broke car windows, tackled people, used chemical weapons, and handcuffed staff at a high school Forced schools to close because of the ongoing threat ICE poses to students and faculties Arrested US citizens without reason or warrant Slipped on the ice, recklessly discharging a weapon because the safety wasn’t on Pointed a gun directly at the head of a peaceful protestor Pulled someone out of their car in the middle of the road, leaving the car in drive, putting everyone around at risk Set up checkpoints in neighborhoods and on freeway exists Went door to door, attempting to round up people of color Brandished a gun at a pastor who was peacefully protesting Blocked congressmembers from entering an ICE facility, a public federal building where they have oversight Said, out loud, that they don’t care about the law Attacked and detained bystanders just for filming them Intimidated educators, clergy, and medical staff, disrupting essential day to day work ICE is making Minnesota less safe. They need to leave.
