These photos from 1983 are from “Weird 2” and starts with King being swarmed by fans in Bangor, while Maine TV pioneer Eddie Driscoll plots to retake his spot as Maine’s #1 celebrity. He grows to giant size & do not stop hunting King until King offers to write him a funny sketch.

On Jan. 28th it’s 49 years since The Shining was released! It has since then been released in various editions Adapted as a feature film by Kubrick & as a miniseries by @mickgarris.bsky.social & even staged as an opera. Congratulations to @stephenking.bsky.social
