Last month we joined the Large Herbivore Working Group in Spain to visit projects with European bison and Przewalski’s horses. It was inspiring to see these powerful animals bringing vitality back to landscapes.

The appeal court has overturned the lower court’s decision and ruled our case admissible.

Lifescape was at Eurolynx this week, in the Semois Valley in Belgium. Lynx reintroductions have been undertaken for >50 years across Europe, so we were able to learn from them while developing The Missing Lynx Project.  It was great to hear about the feasibility of lynx reintroduction in Belgium!

Adam EAGLE
Adam is a qualified lawyer and co-founder of the Lifescape Project, a UK registered charity working toward the restoration of functioning ecosystems on projects globally. Adam’s experience includes developing legal and financial mechanisms to scale nature restoration, bringing litigation on behalf of grass roots groups to combat ecological degradation, advising on community governance mechanisms, and devising community engagement processes to steer restoration efforts. He has worked on diverse projects ranging from the design of payment for ecosystem services schemes in Rwanda to the restoration of the Eurasian lynx in the UK. Adam is a member of the IUCN’s Rewilding Thematic Group, a steering committee member of the UK’s Rebuilding Nature Alliance, and co-author of numerous articles on rewilding published in academic journals. As CEO of the Lifescape Project, Adam’s role involves leading the pursuit of the organisation’s mission and strategy, executing management decisions under the board of trustees’ oversight.
