Knitter, crocheter, cat-minder, librarian. You know me as @library_cait.
Living on the traditional, unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Algonquin Anishinaabe People.
Had a really good conversation with my ex tonight. Healing. Exchanged our things. Hugged it out.

Then came home to the news that my previous ex (together for 11 years) gor engaged to the person he told me to never worry about. 8 months after he broke up with me.

Note to future Cait: no contact is healthy and good.
Once you drop off his stuff, delete him from your phone.

Anyway, how's everyone today?

Our summer intern (library tech student) just piped up in an email thread about cataloguing with myself and management. She has no fear. I'm so proud of her!
Big things are coming from her generation in our profession.

How do you heal from a breakup with a person who helped you turn into the best version of yourself; the version you'd lost in your previous relationship?

So, #medlibs, do we know who would take over PubMed if it gets cut, like ERIC?
I hadn't considered it a possibility, but now...

Yes I'm in three group chats and yes we're all talking about the election. And yes, most of us are stress eating.
