a screenshot of a snippet from my current wip for this week’s #saturdark prompt — lost. it says: He could still remember feeling, just for a moment, the blinding panic that he’d somehow lost control of his arm. That could never happen, of course, not with all the failsafes built into the system. But that knowledge could not prevent the image of his arm, raised like the weapon of an avenging god reaching straight for his throat, from rising in his mind’s eye.
