Just discovered: On September 30 Hurricane Imelda heavily damaged the 1817 Hog Island Lighthouse in Nassau, Bahamas, the oldest lighthouse of the West Indies, destroying the lantern. A local developer has promised to restore the lighthouse at his own expense if he can get control of the property.
