So I guess it is a relief that the extrajudicial execution of an unarmed US citizen in broad daylight in front of multiple eyewitnesses recorded by multiple video cameras is actually enough to motivate Senate Democrats to vote against funding the secret police. It’s not much, but it’s a start.

Just came back into Britain for the first time since I moved here. The friendly border guard glanced at my US passport, didn't bother to check my visa, asked if I live in Britain, asked what form of my name I prefer, and welcomed me home.
