The Home Secretary says that pro-Palestine marches are "un-British." She is simply wrong. There is nothing more British than defending the victims of a genocide. What is "un-British" is arresting pensioners for protesting peacefully against that genocide. open.substack.com/pub/lewiscal...

I do hope that the Home Office will consider that arresting British pensioners for protesting peacefully against the Palestinian genocide is perhaps not the best use of their resources at this time.

I first saw the indomitable spirit of the Jewish diaspora in England at Crumpsall, in the home of my wife's great aunt Estelle & uncle Harold (a Holocaust survivor).I ate 2 huge plates of food & 2 puddings, then listened to a bunch of alte mentshn tell their favourite Jewish jokes. #ManchesterStrong
