Predictably, publishers have made partnerships with AI companies to handle production. And even more predictably, it's not going well AT ALL.

You can and should choose a publisher based on their operational ethics. @leverpress.bsky.social is platinum OA, library-funded, and we *do not* use AI.

Today I finished and filed my monograph on THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE, in which I break down the entire film into 60-second segments and discuss them one at a time. It's been a challenging but hugely rewarding book to write — and now it's finally done!!

Archivists, if there's anything I've learned from the Field Guide, it's that you're going to want to pre-order this book in case it someday rapidly goes out of print and is almost inaccessible to laymen and students while all formal publications still regularly cite it.
