Bridget from Guilty Gear is a transgender woman. Born male and raised as a girl due to a village superstition about male twins bringing misfortune, Bridget initially identified as male to defy the superstition and prove her worth. In Guilty Gear Strive, her story arc explores her gender identity, culminating in her self-identifying as a woman, confirmed by series creator Daisuke Ishiwatari, who stated, "After the events of Bridget's story in Arcade Mode, she self-identifies as a woman. So... the correct pronoun for Bridget would be 'she'". Her design in Strive also replaces the male symbol with a transgender symbol reflecting this change.
