Now that's what I call a bumper crop of Holly berries.

Are there no thrushes over at Elmstead Wood to eat them.

I saw very few birds except a Green Sandpiper and a Little Egret.

I have pinned this down before but can't remember the result. A horizontal set of holes in an Elm sapling.

I just hope that decent people can stop this.
Trump, Putin, Xi & Musk all want the EU to be destroyed, because a divided Europe will be an easy prey to be picked apart and subjugated by the world's authoritarian states. It will become a contested region in which the authoritarian empires will seek to extend their areas of influence and control.

I have just been visiting the Roman Circus site near Colchester. It is very quiet but an interesting place to visit to understand the place of Colchester as a Roman capital.
