This is highly relatable. I just entered my 50s; I love to learn and to share freely, it feels amazing when the little trinkets I make out of my own stumbles (be it related to virtual photography or coding) turn out useful to others.
I'll keep doing my hobbies because that's what makes life fun.

A not-so-hot take: I think FFXIV mobile is actually an strategic move from SE to implement an engine from scratch, free from all the technical debt of the current mainline version.
That may lead to a revamped client/server version - FFXIV-II, if you will - that'll allow for faster dev cycles.
