Been watching the protests in Downtown Los Angeles all day. Activating 700 Marines from Camp Pendleton is a significant escalation meant to push peaceful protestors to a boiling point. LAPD can handle the outside agitators just fine. This is a huge, unnecessary mess.

You should ALWAYS room with people you know, if possible. If that's NOT possible, NEVER send money for a room until you are at the convention and have a working room key.
