It will be Ashurst Perkins Coie, which I find surprisingly difficult to say: www.firmoftomorrow.com
Perkins Coie and Ashurst to form Ashurst Perkins Coie
The combination will create a global law firm built to meet the needs of clients facing an increasingly complex world.

Your concerns are fundamentally irrelevant to the digital ID. If you’re concerned about illegal government overreach, using a digital ID does not meaningfully add to your risk profile. They still have guns and you’re still unlocking your phone regularly for other things.

The usual practice would be to use Face ID.

This is ridiculous. You’re standing at the front of the security line when you use this. You’re literally supposed to empty your pockets seconds later and put everything in a tray to be scanned while you are physically separated from them. Nobody is going to snatch your phone from your hands.

That’s not how these digital IDs work. You never hand anybody anything. You tap with NFC, confirm on your screen, and then it transmits over an encrypted Bluetooth connection. Nobody else touches your phone.

When I see the photos of ICE agents attacking people in the streets, I’m also reminded of all of the people behind the scenes who enable it. The person processing the time sheets to make sure the thugs get paid is just as guilty as the person slamming someone against the curb. They’re ALL terrorists
