Gute Repräsentation heißt nicht, dass es den betroffenen Figuren immer gut geht, oder dass sie gute Menschen sind, die gute Entscheidungen treffen und gute Erlebnisse haben. Das ist nicht der Punkt. Gute Repräsentation heißt nicht, dass eine Geschichte nicht wehtun darf. Lesende und Schreibende haben, je nach Tagesform, unterschiedliche Bedürfnisse und Ansprüche an die Geschichten, die sie lesen/schreiben. Manchmal möchte ich auf rosa Wattewölkchen gebetteten Eskapismus; manchmal möchte ich meinen Safe Space verlassen und bin bereit für alle Konsequenzen dieser Entscheidung, eben auch die, dass es wehtun könnte.
