okay, but who hasn’t accidentally added an unvetted stranger to a group chat brimming with high-ranking government officials freely talking about the innermost, classified details of a sensitive military operation?

As of May 23, 2024, CFPB enforcement has yielded over $19B billion. A random sampling of cases:
• The CFPB successfully fined Wells Fargo $3.7 billion for widespread abuses affecting 16 million—including $2 billion in consumer restitution—wrongful foreclosures, illegal fees, & misapplied payments.
Reminder: this is completely lawless

Fun fact: If George Washington were still alive, he’d be the oldest living former president. 🤯

There’s an interesting rift forming between hardline anti immigration Nazis and far right business interests that understand no immigration will collapse our economy. The incoherence of the coalition has once again hit a fracture point

There is a very real possibility that the bird flu will send egg prices soaring to record heights. By the standard Trump himself has set, it is only consistent that he bears full responsibility.

Presidential press access matters, schedule permitting, but watching reporters persistently shout questions at a far-off leader – as if volume could bridge a 100-yard gap – never fails to entertain. Hence the skit:
A story:

The presidential plane's engines roar deafeningly. The PRESS CORPS stands behind a barrier nearly 100 yards away from The President. The wind is whipping fiercely.

MR. PRESIDENT! IF YOU DON'T SING THE NATIONAL ANTHEM BACKWARDS RIGHT NOW, YOU CLEARLY HATE AMERICA!

A politician who committed serious crimes and left a ton of evidence getting charged for those crimes is not a reason to charge other politicians or public figures who did not commit crimes, nor to harass them.

I don’t care how many times liars repeat it. Crimes merit prosecution. Not crimes don’t.

Trump is appointing Jared Kushner's father, Charles Kushner, U.S. Ambassador to France.

The problem with "I don't follow politics" is that politics follows you. Your healthcare costs, work conditions, and kid's education are all political decisions you're choosing not to understand.

"Russia has nukes, so you have to do whatever they say" has the most obvious rejoinder:

The US has nukes, so Russia has to do whatever America says.

But that's equally dumb, of course. So put them together: Both the US and Russia have nukes, which check each other.

Don't be such a gullible wuss.
