Running for Congress in NYC to build a democracy that delivers.
Great to connect with friends and neighbors at last night's West Side Dems meeting. It was particularly special meeting MicahLasher's mom - I'm going to have to fight hard to get her vote!!!

New Yorkers are under no obligation to continue funding an agency that threatens the rule of law and undermines public safety.

It's time we abolish ICE.

Feeling fired up after today's #NoKingsMarch

Thousands of us walking through the heart of #NY12 demanding a democracy that serves the people - not billionaires, not dynasties, not wannabe kings.

Power belongs with us. Let’s keep marching, organizing, and winning this fight together. ✊🇺🇸

Had a blast at Manhattan Young Dems Young Gets It Done event last night. If you're a young person, you understand the urgency of this moment - and you're ready to do what it takes to take our country back. Proud to be in the fight with New York's next generation of leaders

I’m sickened by the antisemitic attack that killed two people in Manchester—on the most holy day in our faith.

It’s not enough for us to say that “hate has no place here” — we have to make it so.

"Liam Elkind, a 26-year-old “community organizer” from enough wealth to win awards as a philanthropist."

The @nypost.com thinks I’m a wealthy philanthropist. I wish my bank account thought the same thing 🤣

Hacks, hard lefties and nepo babies: Democrats’ options to succeed Nadler show why the party is dying
Sixty-four years after President John F. Kennedy called young Americans to public service, his grandson, internet loon Jack Schlossberg, may run for Congress in a bid to replace Rep. Jerry Nadler.

Had a blast in Hell's Kitchen this weekend at the annual Manhattan Plaza Block Party. From everyone I talk to, one thing is clear - New Yorkers are ready for new leadership.

Last night, we hosted our 1st organizing meeting of the campaign & a few things are clear:
1) the status quo isn't working for anyone
2) the political establishment is broken
3) the solution is to organize - not in smoke-filled rooms - but in living rooms & coffee shops across our city.

Had a great time at last night’s @tildendemocrats.bsky.social meeting talking w/ NYers about our campaign to get money out of politics & back in your pocket.

Congress admits stock trading is a problem. But surprise: they built in loopholes and tax breaks for themselves.

We deserve reps who serve the public, not their portfolios.

Congress eyes stock-trading ban — with tax break sweetener
A new bipartisan bill aimed at curbing member stock trading would allow lawmakers to reinvest their market holdings tax-free.

Jerry Nadler represented our city and country with distinction. Now, with an open primary in #NY12, I plan to follow his example by pushing for bold, progressive change.

And to those kicking the tires on a run - come on in, the water's warm!

Proud to march in this year’s NYC Labor Day Parade alongside the workers who built this city and keep it running every day.

In Congress, I’ll stand shoulder-to-shoulder with organized labor and fight for fair wages, safe workplaces, and the right to organize ✊

🚨 BIG ENDORSEMENT 🚨

Proud to have the support of Governor Howard Dean - a progressive champion who has never been afraid to shake up the system.

Together, we’re fighting to get money out of politics, deliver real results for working families, and build a new generation of leadership.

From one Stuy kid to another, thank you Rep. Nadler.
September 2, 2025 at 5:08 PM
The first vote I ever cast was for Jerry Nadler.

He has led this district and this country with humanity, kindness, and intelligence.

His progressive vision for this country is an inspiration to me, and I'm grateful for his leadership.

I've been a candidate for less than a month and in that time there have been 3 mass shootings in America, including 1 in my district.

Enough with the thoughts and prayers - shame on us if we allow another generation to grow up w/ bulletproof backpacks & school shooting drills

I’m Liam Elkind.

And I’m running for Congress.

Because the same playbook and the same leaders are not going to meet this moment.
