A beautiful essay an Anselm Kiefer in Vagant, by poet Øyvind Berg. Yes, it is in Norwegian, but any translation tool will give you a well worth glimpse of it. Thanks to editor @audunlindholm.bsky.social for keeping the Norwegian discourse alive and kicking.

So, our dictator has used forbidden sound cannon (LRAD) on peaceful protestors. He couldn't stand the success of peaceful protests, so he had to intervene. 🤬

SERBIA: Students are supported by their teachers, the farmers, pensioners and taxi drivers. Fascinating to see how well organized and disciplined the protesters are. Sad to see the state leaders suspect liberal and democratic forces. Autocratic and depressing.

About 1/6 of the total population of Serbia protested government malfeasance today. In the US that would be more than fifty million people.

HEY, NEW YORKERS! - make sure to bring your kids to see some lovely Norwegian visual theatrical imagination, Wakka Wakka. There is nothing like the art of puppet theatre. Last time I saw them was at the Fjaler-festival, in Norway. #TheatreSky
