Nobelprijs lonkte voor Leidse onderzoekers met bolvormige detector, maar het liep anders. ‘Helaas liepen we tegen tijdgebrek aan’
Natuurkundige Giorgio Frossati en zijn team werkten jarenlang aan een bolvormige detector om zwaartekrachtgolven uit de ruimte mee te meten. Een doorbraak had hem waarschijnlijk een nominatie voor de Nobelprijs opgeleverd, maar het liep anders.
