Artists! You should consider referencing / adding 3D assets to your workflow!

What could make references go further? Actually making the scene to your liking... it may even be good enough for the final piece!

There's tons of free assets, software (like blender) and tutorials out there to help!

You can also just start small.

Yes you can make that comic or videogame or whatever but you can do a smaller scope in the beginning to test the waters.
Instead of the bug magnum opus, begin with a prologue.
