Answers on a postcard if anyone knows why this plainly common sense approach isn’t enacted as standard?

I saw this in a real life case where a jury of10 men and 2 women gave a 10/2 guilty verdict against a clearly innocent woman, ignoring the judge’s summing up.

I’m enjoying (if that’s the right word) I Fought the Law on ITVx, about multiple failures of the police and justice system in relation to the murder of a young woman. I’m wondering why in cases involving sexual
assault it isn’t mandatory to have 50/50 gender balance in the jury?

The PA activists also told us that when they refused to be processed outside the police station, they were threatened with being driven to the ‘nearest police cell’ in Southampton. But the more humane Welsh police confirmed that this was indeed a empty threat.

I’ve just heard that wheat farmers are planning concerted action to interrupt the supply of wheat to mills. I wonder if their meetings have been raided by the police and members arrested on charges of conspiracy?
