"The system is killing prople already. Sanctions are the price we pay for freedom" (Desmond Tutu). Tutu's retort to Margaret Thatcher justifying support for South Africa on the grounds of 'constructive engagement'. The same holds trust today for Keir Starmer's support for Israel. Stop arming Israel.

The Trump peace plan for Gaza is a continuation of the colonial project. Palestinians are not to be trusted to govern their own affairs, only white men, headed up by war criminal and disgraced former UK Prime Minister Blair and other grifters. Netanyahu has already ruled out a Palestinian state.

Airbnb and Expedia among firms tied to West Bank settlements: UN report

#Starmer is becoming increasingly desperate, facing challenges from Andy Burnham, Reform, the Green Party, and Your Party. Carrots offered Labour Left on Palestine and tougher migration talk to appease potential defectors to Reform. Politics without principle or ideology where only power matters.

Where have the checks and balances in the US Constitution gone to stem the abuses of power?
President Trump on Friday cheered the indictment of James Comey, the former FBI director, and predicted more indictments were on the way, even as he denied that he had a list of perceived enemies he wanted to see prosecuted.

Impressed with Israeli citizens speaking out against genocide, war, and government corruption in a jingostic and dehumanising environment.
Thousands of Israelis stayed home from work, flooded city streets and blocked roads and highways across the country on Sunday, staging some of the largest anti-war protests in months as the military prepares for a major assault on Gaza City. wapo.st/4mvMVfK

#BBCNews asking how could we have allowed things in Gaza to get to this state? Without any sense of irony - maybe the BBC failing to cover it, always putting Israel's position. Giving far more airtime to Israeli genocide deniers & advancing the right to self defence without context. Just a thought.

Witness interference by the DOJ. Domestic and international law seem to have little resonance in post-truth Trumpian America.

No pretensions of a legitimate right to self-defence here, just continued expansion of Israeli imperialism.
The Israeli army launched a new round of strikes near the Syrian army and defence ministry headquarters on Wednesday, after Israel warned Damascus against targeting the Druze community.

Clear analysis of the persistent pro-zionist bias of the BBC. The myth of BBC impartiality is now only believed by a few people at the top of the organisation.

Largest displacement since 1967 taking place in occupied West Bank, says UN

When ministers talk about “tough decisions”, it’s usually code for doing something really bad to people who’re already struggling. No-one voted Labour expecting them to push more disabled people into poverty, to slash foreign aid or be complicit in Gaza genocide. Me for #bbcaq👇

As the media and Labour Party seek to strangle the new party at birth, pointing out how Corbyn's Labour Party lost the 2017 & 2019 elections. It's worth remembering that in both elections, Labour achieved more votes than under Starmer in 2024. Corbyn wasn't able to rely on Reform to split Tory vote.
Today, after 14 years, I’m resigning from the Labour Party.

Jeremy Corbyn and I will co-lead the founding of a new party, with other Independent MPs, campaigners and activists across the country.

Free advice to Labour Government following latest u-turns on welfare and balancing budget- don't increase military expenditure, don't buy nuclear weapon carrying jets, don't renew Trident, and if the sums still don't add up tax the rich.

Today, I asked the Deputy PM if she would support an independent inquiry into the UK's complicity in Israeli war crimes.

She refused to answer.

Just like Iraq, the government is doing everything it can to shield itself from scrutiny. Just like Iraq, it will not succeed in hiding the truth.

While Britain has outsourced its foreign policy to the United States since Blair auditioned to be Squealer to Bush's Napoleon, it must come as a surprise to the MAGA crowd that US foreign policy has been outsourced to Israel.

This is a clear breach of Uzk's obligations under the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons treaty (NPT). Also, under the treaty is the obligation to help non nuclear states, like Iran, acquire a civilian nuclear energy programme.
