AI responsibility. I just saw this on a websites ToS:

“We take no responsibility for, and we do not expressly or implicitly endorse, support, or guarantee the completeness, truthfulness, accuracy, acceptability, or reliability of AI Features, including, but not limited to any AI Outputs.”

Some people joke about AWS outages. Some offer virtual hugs (HugOps!).

But outages like this can cost real money and real reputation.

For Eight Sleep smart mattresses, they began to overheat and become locked into inclined positions at 2 AM!

Everyone wants great software. Few want to do what it takes to make it great.

Every user story, every feature, every integration — bugs live there.

“Good enough” is an excuse.
“No one will notice.” They do.

When the bird site exodus happened, a lot of people came to Bluesky, especially in the tech space. But it feels like engagement is lacking here.

On Threads, tons of engagement. You have 500 chars to work with, when Bluesky is 300 chars.

It'd be better if Bluesky went to 500 chars per post.

After dealing with over a dozen very serious health challenges, disability, long recovery time, nearing ☠️...

I have to say: it feels good to feel alive! It's been a long time. This gif of Kermit is what I feel right now!

I rallied & protested at the Seattle Center! Now, seeing the videos from nationwide, I'm 🥹

Keep protesting. Keep protecting our freedoms & the Constitution! Stand strong & united against fascism!

As I'm building a software testing agency, I'm trying to build in public.

I'm looking at all things SEO to build it in from the start. When I scan the site using SEO scanners, I get a good score, so the fundamentals are there.

It’s 🕷️ spider season in Seattle. We are crawling with spiders this time of year—but your software shouldn’t be!

QA Captain is on patrol to squash bugs, banish creepy-crawlies, and keep your product clean and clear.

I’m trying to do more each day to get a software testing & qa consultancy business setup. So, here’s to the new Bluesky account: @qacaptain.bsky.social

I'll likely be doing a lot of cross-posting.

I've had to unfollow & block many accounts.

If anyone supports hate, it's an instant block. I don't have room in my life for hate, toxicity, manipulation, etc.

There is no nuance to hatred. It's not up for discussion. So many people are coerced into thinking bad is good & good is bad.

Hey @rosiesherry.com - small boundary value bug in MoT user profile.

When adding text into the about field, if I add 200 chars, error occurs:

"About is too long (maximum is 200 characters)"

Error should occur on 201 or > char count, not 200 exactly! 🫠

I wonder if this occurs on all fields?

Generally, has bluesky engagement tanked?

It seems to me that the engagement from the bird site has mostly moved to LinkedIn. Is that the place to be?

Tech Threads exist, but threads seems more like Twitter 2007 to me... filled with chaos goblins not community building.

Transformative tech. AI is certainly one of them, but what makes it different is that it’s being forced on everyone.

Computers, mobile phones, Internet — all transformative, but not forced. People sought them out; they became opt-in by default.

So, you know I'm a tester, career QA! 💙💚 all things QA!

I did a test. I told A.I. "would you believe that I'm bearish on A.I.?

Sadly, I experienced a severe health matter this week. It makes it difficult w/out insurance.

It would make a meaningful difference for me if I can get some freelance work in QA/Testing or referrals for work.

If you know of any work out there, feel free to refer or contact me at qacaptain.com

True story! My disability came out of nowhere! It's neuro related & when it shows up, I'm in such incredible pain, worst pain you've ever felt, & I can barely walk.

I hate dealing with this as it takes 6 months to recover!
Most people are far closer to becoming disabled and/or homeless than they realize.

All it takes is one accident, infection, virus or stroke of bad luck.

Your life can change in an instant, and no one is the exception.

You can’t “try harder” your way out of it, and it’s not a personal failing.

I turned off GenAI, AI Query, & AI Summary in Adobe Acrobat. So, why are they now turned on?

Please don’t do this. If you offer preferences, please respect user preferences, & don’t reset them. This only serves to frustrate users!
