I can actually see a point in the future where we are not dedicated to one browser. In fact, I think that future is currently my present. Researching these browsers for SCO has been so eye-opening.

So here's me. Was using Arc as my browser, and moved to Dia. Last week, I recorded a video on Orion, by Kagi. Thought it was great. Currently playing with Comet by Perplexity for another video, and find myself wanting to switch to that.

Kind of regretting this video I'm doing on Orion. Not because it's a bad app. It's great. I just seemed to get carried away with the amount of stuff I recorded and editing is taking an age!

Nearly 50 years old and only just realised ABBA's Christmas song is called "Happy New Year" and not "Having You Here". Such a fool

And....looks like we're back. So if you are having difficulty accessing ScreenCastsONLINE, a litCloudflarece with a few retries may be needed as things equalise. That does not seem to have been a good Maintenance Window for Cloudflare sadly.

For members unable to access the site - please note there is a global outage on CloudFlare, which we use to protect the site. Waiting on updates from them....

I thought it would be a bad day when I started my coffee machine without a mug under it. It didn't get much better sadly. Here's to tomorrow.

All this time, I've been bemoaning the fact I can't have local links in Notion. Today, I realised that copying links as Universal Links with Hookmark, allows you to paste them into Notion - and they work!

Workflow - revolutionised.

Been using the Vision Pro for working at home for a few days now to force the habit, with Mac Virtual Display, to see if repetition helps. I'm at a stage where it feels - natural - now to use it. Built some nice workflows for window sizing, widgets. Next stop - can I edit videos effectively….

For the contract I'm on, I thought I'd work with the tools they use so running a small project with OneNote as my note system, and Copilot alongside. Far better than I was expecting. OneNote has grown well

It may not get a lot of love but using the Games app yesterday gave me a great experience. Going through the Library, showed me all games I've ever played and alerted me to some classics that I never finished. I mean Space Age here is a gem and still available apps.apple.com/gb/app/space-a...
‎Space Age: A Cosmic Adventure
‎App Store Editor's Choice! Space Age is a game of cosmic adventure. Set in the retro-futuristic sci-fi world of 1976, it follows a small but determined band of intergalactic explorers who land on a seemingly uninhabited planet, Kepler-16. They soon discover there’s something both strange and famili…

Potentially the most beautiful album I've heard was released today. Weird word to use to describe an album, but it works. My kids and I love The Little Mess You Made - song of the year https://music.apple.com/gb/album/the-dream/1817744638

Whilst there is some negativity around the new OS versions, now they have finally dropped for the masses, I find them fresh, fun and have enjoyed them for months. I think CarPlay looks almost brand new and is underrated. And my friends think iOS 26 looks and feels great, so interesting times.

No idea why I like Bon Iver so much. It's definitely daytime music for me, in the background whilst working. Couldn't listen at night - but immensely chilled for work purposes, especially this one https://music.apple.com/gb/album/00000-million/1141107722?i=1141108088

Days like today remind that Project Management is extremely hard and a skill that's hugely undervalued. Grrrr.

After spending the last six months solely working with ChatGPT, I've been using Claude over the last couple of days. There are some admin elements for the videos that it takes care of better than ChatGPT for sure.

Very much enjoying it

Working on my outline for the ScreenCastsONLINE dives into iOS 26 and iPadOS 26 now I've returned from holiday and feel safe having them on my personal devices (I never put betas on when travelling). I'm thoroughly enjoying them both and personally think Liquid Glass is at the sweet spot now.

Very safe to say that A Level results day has been a hit in our household. Could not have asked more than Lilia's amazing results. Very proud parents here.
