Jusqu’alors, un seul suintement actif de méthane, ce gaz capable de retenir environ 80 fois plus de chaleur que le dioxyde de carbone sur vingt ans, avait été confirmé en Antarctique. Mais désormais, les fuites se multiplient et font office de bombes à retardement pour le climat.
