Having thoroughly enjoyed The Salt Path by Raynor Winn I’m now starting The Wild Silence. It seems fitting to be reading it with the backdrop of Vancouver Island, as I take a ferry to go and see a good friend @blueskybooks.bsky.social

Each time I read the book, it will remind me of my own youth, completing university in Plymouth and learning the trade of teaching in various schools in Devon and Cornwall. I’m going to pause and find maps and remember my time at each of the places. @blueskybooks.bsky.social
