I'm not against some forms of AI, I'll never stand for the generative kind ever, but I'll be honest, if all kinds of AI requires data centres that's gonna pollute the air, drain water and electricity and basically make our world worse to live in, I'd rather scrap all AI altogether. We don't need it.

So, in light of Discord requiring face ID and verification next month for everybody, do we have any alternatives to jump to? I'd rather this doesn't become another Bsky situation where everyone disperses onto different platforms again and become more difficult to keep in touch with.
