musing after finishing this month’s wallpaper at the different ways I’ve drawn Spectbarrow Prep and how I’ve gotten better, how it’s changed, and how it’s also the same

(I thought I’d drawn it at least 4 times, but I guess it’s just 3)

I've talked to artists from Europe and it's so wild, they'll be like yeah I just got the grant that pays me a year's full living expenses to write a novel, I'm very lucky, the government only gives out 100,000 of those a year.

Randomly did some research yesterday and found that in 2004 France gave 6 billion euro to the arts; USA gave 116 million.

Which is to say it was already bad before it became the National Endowment of Nationalist Slop

Four of my favorite PokéPocke display boards, because man I love both art and Pokemon

2☆ full-art rare of Sabrina, with her arms out to either side and an explosion of magenta and white energy around her. The display board is Mewtwo, who appears to hover above her, arms out to either side as he gathers a magenta sphere of energy. This is my favorite display board, I'm very proud of the synergy haha The Giratina 1☆ full-art against the display board of a mosaic-looking arrangement of Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai. I adore the colors and the eerie spiral composition of the Giratina art (as well as just Origin form Giratina, AUGH what a COOL POKEMON), and with its Distortion World aesthetic against the "human myth" of the tile, it's just COOL. Also, Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai seemingly heralding it is a very fun touch 1☆ full-art Minior on the.... uh... this is ultra Necrozma or something? ;;;; I actually have little idea of the Gen 7 legendaries and ultra beasts, my bad ;;;; But it's big and gold and firing down streaks of rainbow light, while 7 Minior of rainbow colors streak down from the night sky--another synergy I love 2☆ full-art Darkrai EX on the Espeon/Umbreon display board. I won't go too into detail about this one because errrr... Darkrai is my favorite pokemon, Darkrai EX 2☆ is my favorite card in the game, and I wanted it to have a unique backing and I like Umbreon/Espeon and Sun/Moon aesthetics a lot, so that's kind of all there is to it ;;;;

The boy has been deployed!

He's actually not 100% finished yet, but 98 is close enough, and he's structurally sound

He's a loooong looong boy because he's a wrist rest for typing! I have another plush wrist support that isn't portable and it's SO helpful 😭♡ I knew I wanted one I could take around
