Iirc he also has a bit of a soft spot for AOC and Sheinbaum.

The problem with south asians bashing each other in the international forum is that the average bigot from abroad makes no distinction between these groups and just 180s into basically internalized racism. As for as they are concerned - Banglas, Pakis and Indians are just one amorphous group.

Overral, the best way I can describe Boruto is just "derivative" of what the og wanted to achieve. If this were a solo manga without the legacy establishment I wouldn't be survived if it gets canned early on.

And the pacing of the manga crawls to a snail at a certain point which wouldn't really be a problem normally but as a monthly manga, it's incredibly irritating when each chapter essentially dedicates pages to recapping past chapters.

However where Boruto has the biggest drawbacks is that it has all the flaws of Shippuden but taken to it's extremities. After the main antagonist are established absolutely non of the side characters matter at all and the female character are given an even bigger shaft.

With that said, il atleast give it some benefit and say that Boruto the protagonist serves a pretty good protagonist and a good duo to kawaki reflecting the previous duo and much of the hate against series is far too harsh.

Finally upto date with Boruto and I can honestly say that it's as mid as I thought it would be.

It's also awesome how, in most jrpg where it is common to have a final "twist" villain other than the main antagonist, louis is effectively the main bad guy from the very first scene of the game till the last.

Louis Guiabern is a chad from beginning to end. Easily one of my favorite antagonist.
