In spite of everything, I still believe in the rule of law.
This article GROSSLY mischaracterizes what happened at that school board meeting last night. What I saw was an enormous outpouring of support for our trans kids.

Thrilled about the turnout at the town hall held by my congressional representative, Brittany Pettersen, on this International Women’s Day. It felt great to be in a room with so many likeminded neighbors!

I’ve decided to give up anger for lent. This is going to be a hard one. I’m rereading The Dandelion Insurrection by @riverasun.bsky.social for inspiration. 🌼❤️

The US should stand with democratic governments and condemn attacks by authoritarian regimes. Today’s display was sickening. 🇺🇦

So just to be clear, the same people who were excited that the Supreme Court threw out Chevron deference last year are now mad that a judge is stopping an illegal and illegitimate “executive branch department” from taking certain actions? Cool. Cool.

what we’re seeing is that the courts are willing to rule against the government on certain things but there’s no one to actually enforce it.

A lot of Americans are just now learning what most lawyers have always known - laws only work if someone is willing to enforce them.

It IS time to organize and mobilize. You might be feeling powerless right now. You are NOT. Get active on a grassroots level, write to your U.S. representatives, plan a demonstration. Or simply engage in some mutual aid. Clean up trash in your neighborhood. Donate to a charity. These things matter.

The Trump administration has placed two top security chiefs at the U.S. Agency for International Development on leave after they resisted turning over classified material in restricted areas to Elon Musk’s staffers. America, please stand with us—we are fighting to defend this country!

BREAKING — I'm told OPM just sent out this memo with guidance for implementing Trump's "Defending Women" anti-trans executive order.

"Take down all outward facing media that inculcate or promote gender ideology. Review email systems and turn off features that prompt users for their pronouns."

I truly believe one of the most important things we can do right now is build community. We’re going to need each other more than ever in the coming months.

Trump Needs Public Cooperation to Enact a Fascist Vision. Here’s How We Refuse.
Our resistance to fascistic policies must be grounded in our sense of justice, rather than arguments about what’s legal.

They’re trying to overwhelm us. Don’t let them. This flood of executive orders - many of them blatantly unconstitutional - and terrible bills making their way through Congress are all a tactic to make us give up. (1/3)
