This film by Maeve Murphy looks incredible. Like many Londoners, I remember Kings Cross before the refurbishment and knew people whose lives took a downward spiral and ended up living there. Not sure how to watch 'St Pancras Sunrise' - but I'll keep an eye out for it!

A documentary about Holloway Prison offers a unique insight into the lives of former inmates of the infamous women's prison. It is a heartfelt and humane piece of filmmaking, and I hope it will be viewed by many.
HOLLOWAY – Award-Winning Documentary on Women from Holloway Prison
HOLLOWAY is an award-winning documentary following six women as they return to the now-abandoned Holloway Prison in Central London. A powerful film about memory, justice, and resilience.

I’d be grateful if you could sign this petition calling for better provisions for people with Parkinson’s disease. Since I was diagnosed two years ago I’ve seen how awful the service is. And worldwide it’s the fastest growing neurological condition.

There is widespread support for #nature: it's not a minority issue, as the govt seems to think.

As @hannahbournetaylor.bsky.social says, refusing to make #swift-bricks compulsory in new #homes is 'tone deaf'.

My heart goes out to all the 3,600 women serving sentences in UK prisons who are having to wash their knickers in a bowl in their cell because they aren't allowed to put them in a washing machine.

Male prisoners can wash their underwear in washing machines.

The gender pay gap for writers stands at 36%, compared to the national average of 13%.
Let's dwell on that for a minute.
Female authors are paid 36% LESS than their male counterparts. Their time, expertise, skill and creativity is valued at a third less than that of men.
