Gov tech is often clunky and inconvenient. People will always gravitate toward better UX—even at the risk of national security.

And yet, they still ask why we should invest in design.

I love a good sci-fi movie. I also love great functional interfaces. So I took a look at the state of fictional UIs.

End-users value simple things like engagement and good UX, but the real value of @bsky.app lies in the AT Protocol and its decentralization promise. If these concepts were explained in simpler terms, I think the platform could gain massive popularity.

Hot take ⚡️

“Do you have experience working with AI?” is such a pointless question to ask from designers.

I’ve seen it too often.

A better would be “do you have experience in [wherever/however this AI is applied]?”
Like: chatbots, robotics, geosystems, banking, biotech, wearables etc.

The state of AI by the end of 2024:

- Identifying diseases from CT, X-ray, MRI scans
- Autonomous vehicles
- AI trading & fraud detection
- Music, art, and video creation, incl deepfakes
- Synthetic biology
- Decoding neural signals to words

Still cannot crack a decent joke.

So Amazon just started less than 30 min drone deliveries 📦

Their mission’s always been to make purchasing superfast.

This gets me thinking - can it be too easy? 🙇🏻‍♀️ Hear me out 👇
