The fish were all released after we took notes on species, weight, length, and sex. They're only stunned for a few seconds until they're netted.

Haha, yea. Kind of the cheat code of fishing. You wade into the river as a group, some people have a prod that you stick into the water that sends a low voltage charge that stuns the fish while the other people have nets to scoop up the stunned fish. It was all for tagging and species verification.

Whenever I can, I venture out to a nearby pond during my lunch break to try and fish a bit.
42° and rainy, I was pretty surprised I was able to land 10+ panfish, 4 crappie, and a largemouth on a crappie magnet and 1" Gulp minnow.
Nothing mind-blowing, but still scratched that itch!

Just dug out mine to kill some time during the winter and I didn't realize they cut off online support to the 3DS earlier this year.
Stuck with whichever firmware update was out during 2014 lol

Since winter is creeping in slowly, but surely, my two favorite ways to decompress (riding motorcycles & fishing) are becoming more uncomfortable to do.
So I guess I'll see what's going on here instead of that cesspool that was twitter (r.i.p)
