Our final #Lexember word is the game name itself! Sovála got its name from Engála, our #conlang for rabbits, and is the name of the lake in their region. The name means "Great Heart". <3

Our #Lexember word for today comes from Sarkezhe, our #conlang for cats: "yikwi" means "blood water" and refers to the magical water-based substance that gives all our Sovála characters their abilities (including their ability to speak!).

For the final three days of #Lexember, we are focusing on some key vocabulary for the name of the game, Sovála. Today's word is "amùghù", which means "battle" in Haughòf (our #conlang for dogs). A subtitle for Sovála is "The Battle of the Blood Water"!

Our #Lexember word for today is "khi", which means "to cast a spell" and comes from Sarkezhe, our #conlang for cats. The cats are perhaps the most magical of the animals in Sovála, so it's a fitting word to come from their language!

Our #Lexember word for today is one of my favorites! "Zhálá" means "to sing" in Wokuthízhű (our #conlang for mice). When multiple mice are singing, it comes out as "zhálálá", which delights me to no end.

Our #Lexember word for today is "tshiet", which means "to defend" in Tpaalha, our #conlang for opossums. This word comes from an older root meaning "to push away", and this opossum stands ready to push attackers away with a decorative shield!

For our last Sovála weapon word for this week of #Lexember, "minkhüm" means "bow" in Loh Akish, our #conlang for foxes. It consists pf the verb root meaning "to pull" and a nominal derivation indicating a patientive object—a bow is a "pull thing".

Our #Lexember word for today comes from Nulisü, our #conlang for beavers. The weapon of choice for this warrior is a "thakipak", or an axe. The word is an old compound coming from "tooth hammer"!

Our #Lexember word for today is "gankò", which means "club" in Haughòf, our #conlang for dogs. When drawing these warriors, I chose to put a baseball bat in their hands as their club of choice—a nod to my dad who is a baseball coach and dog person through and through.

Our #Lexember word for today comes from Loh Akish, a #conlang for foxes. "Kfässir" means "trapper" and is an agentive form of a verb. Foxes, being as clever and stealthy as they are, are excellent at laying traps and sneaking around the Sovála game board!
