The Metolius is one of Central Oregon’s most important wildlife strongholds.

Since 2017, LandWatch monitored the Green Ridge Project and advocated for a plan that better balances wildlife habitat preservation with improved wildfire safety.

Last month, the Forest Service issued its final decision.
