Today, around 200 regions, national governments, cities and other territories will kick off an initiative to promote transformative innovation: the EU Preparatory Action on Innovation for Place-Based Transformation.

The renewable energy transition will also create waste streams including valuable recyclable items and critical raw materials such as silicon, cobalt, lithium and rare-earth elements.
