Nordic Summer Evening by Richard Bergh (1899-1900)
Singer Karin Pyk and Prince Eugene stand on opposite sides of the canvas. They are leaning on the balcony of a house in Kyrkviken. Both are looking away from the viewer, towards the lake Liding and a dock with a small rowboat, attached to the land of their house. Behind them a marvellous panorama of the now resort Hustegaholm opens up. It is early evening and we see the last of the orange light on the surface of the water with a forest in the background.
