BEHOLD the GARgantuan Alligator Gar!!!

This is the largest Alligator Gar I’ve encountered; at over 7 feet 10 inches (240 cm) and approximately 55 inches in girth, its weight is estimated at 300 pounds (136 kg)!

A true river monster, among the largest caught, tagged and safely released! #GarWeek

We left the lodge at 5AM today to look for this fancy boy and I managed to spot him. 😁Resplendent Quetzals are considered near-threatened due to habit loss. And that tail is real, no April Fools joke here. 🪶

Been thinking a lot about what I want my content to be. And it’s going to be, as a whole, finding joy as we navigate difficult times and working within our communities to save them. I’m still working out the specifics but that’s the overarching theme. We can’t let them burn us out with grief
