I don't think I've come across a poem that taps into my ethos when it comes to navigating queer community within the context of a hostile world as much as "We Have Enough Dead Friends" by Lena Oleanderson.

I strive to make my home a sanctuary where other faggots feel safe and cared for.

the imagery from silent hill f has planted itself firmly in my brain as of late, so i decided to make a drawing about it.

just finished this today, and i’m pretty happy with it!✨✨

on the left side of the frame, hinako is a a monster dressed in a traditional japanese bridal kimono. she is face-less, her visage a collection of wet, meaty cavities, and a large, muscular, canine arm erupts from her shoulder and curls around, crossing the divide between her monstrous and human selves. Around the perimeter of the image, an aura of red and pink flowers encroach upon the figure of hinako, their flesh-like petals and veiny stems forming a dense thicket.
