TRAFFIC ALERT: Beginning Mon, Nov. 24, the Hilliard Rd. westbound lane will be closed during daytime work hours. The work will begin at 8:30 AM on Monday and Tuesday to not interfere with school drop-off at Harding MS.

Detours and signage will be in place; please avoid the area during these times.

✅ Monday collection is unchanged.
⚠️ Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday collections are moved to one day prior.
✅ Friday collection is unchanged.

The first City of Lakewood community meal will be held at Cove Community Center on Wednesday, December 3. Doors open at 5 PM, and the meal will be served at 5:30 PM. Everyone is welcome!

Reminder: you can bring campaign signs to the Refuse and Recycling Center at 12920 Berea Rd., Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 2 PM or Saturday from 8 AM to 12 PM.

Campaign signs and stands are not to be placed in curbside recycling bins.

The Streets and Forestry team has made two complete circuits through Lakewood and the third round of collection has begun. Leaf collection will continue through mid-December, weather-permitting.

Winterhurst's Giving Project is underway! The ice arena is currently collecting toys, games, clothing, and more to support Cove Community Center's work to provide gifts to families in need this season.

Donations can be brought to the Winterhurst front desk; deadline is 12/3.

LASWAB and LCSC are hosting a pet food drive on Sat., 11/15. Donations will help 250 families in need.

To donate, please bring pet food to City Center Park/Marc's Plaza at 14821 Detroit Ave. on between 10 AM-2 PM. Pull up to the tent in the parking lot; volunteers will unload your donation.

Refuse collection will proceed on its regular schedule this week. There are no adjustments for Veterans Day. The Refuse and Recycling Center will be open Tuesday from 8 AM to 2 PM.

Reminder: you can bring your Halloween pumpkins to Kauffman Park to be composted by Cuyahoga Recycles through November 10.

Pumpkins must be free of candles, stickers, and decorations; painted, bleached, chemically treated pumpkins or those drawn on with permanent marker are not accepted.

The annual Veterans Day Ceremony will take place Tuesday, Nov. 11 beginning at 11 AM at the Veterans Memorial at Lakewood Park. All are welcome to attend as we honor those who have served in the armed forces.
