Adhering to the ECHR is important!
If the Tories want out then you have to think why?
We should be adding more rights not stripping away those we have!
New use for AI
Typing in a one sided version of an argument you had with a close friend in order to, with good intention, understand what went wrong & having AI comfort your feelings while it calls your friend an "emotional manipulator"
AI will destroy humanity by being humane

$7.25 as a minimum wage is OBSCENE
If you are on $7.25/hr & work a reasonable 40 hrs/wk, you earn $290
Yet $300 is the limit for relative poverty for a single person
That's insane!
And if you are on minimum wage as a single parent?
So f*cked up!

The fact that Wes Streeting went into parliament today and said that the Tories are just jealous because Labour are doing what they always talked about doing is wild

They're admitting they're governing like Tories. They're saying the quiet part out loud and yet people still won't believe it

Govts with fiat currencies have the monopoly on issuing money
We know they can issue without constraint for numerous reasons
Whenever it's necessary to approve a budget for war, it gets approved
Taxes don't go up
If fact taxes aren't needed at all for spending
Here's how we know

Has anyone clarified if those who have PIP mobility will lose their daily living if they don't have 4 points in 1 section?
PIP helps people live independently
"THE CLUE IS IN THE NAME"
Surely, having to rely on someone else is not, by definition, independency

Think:
Two scenarios
1 - A worker gets a govt job & receives 2k/mnth with 200 deductions
2 - The same worker gets the same govt job, but gets paid 1800/mnth with no deductions

They both get 1800 in their bank account, so what is the difference?

Which job would you prefer & why?

I see a lot of posts from Americans where they are shocked at the difference between Europe & America with regard to Medical & Employment laws etc
All I can say is, Don't Knock Socialism
It's not Communism & it won't lead to Communism
We struggle cuz US corporations are against Socialism

Inflation is going to go up again, isn't it
Govts are not stopping it
Central banks keep using interest rates, which hits the poor even more
How much more can we take?
Price control or give us a cheaper alternative, NOW!

UK domestic energy prices will rise by inflation-busting 6.4% in April to £1,849 a year on average.

Fuel poverty will increase. People will cut spending elsewhere, derail economic recovery.

UK energy industry made £483bn profit since 2020.

Govt/regulators don't protect people.

No matter which platform you use as a voice, the only people that truly hear you are your followers
As I go down my list of people who follow me, I see people I am not following back & I rectify that
I also see people I followed back who have unfollowed me

School breakfast clubs in England will be used to justify keeping the two-child benefits cap.

Breakfast clubs welcome, won't end child poverty

Children need decent housing, food, clothes, shoes, more

End two-child benefit cap, redistribute.

1% have more wealth than 70% of the population combined
School breakfast clubs in England ‘will be used to justify keeping the two-child benefits cap’

Govt issues money
It gives an instruction to the Central Bank & accounts are credited
All money that exists in the economy, comes from govt
Every payment that is issued by govt, is added to the debt
The only way to eliminate the debt is to ask for that money back
But no one likes taxes

If your country was relentlessly bombed by another & your home was destroyed, you'd be pretty angry, desperate, full of despair, full of resentment
That's a lot of bad feels
Why would you travel 1000s of miles to live in a country that sold the bombs that destroyed your home?

Labour’s 1.5m homes will be dominated by private equity firms charging huge rents.

Profiteering, high debt, substandard service, tax dodges are private equity norm.

Let councils, not-for-profit organizations build homes.

Don't deregulate. Build homes, not slums.

Yet another unsustainable rise in rents - time for the government to put a stop to rip off rents and stop landlords treating tenants as cash cows. Rent controls are long overdue and are badly needed to give all renters a home they can afford.

Average UK private rents increased by 8.7% over the last year. The average monthly rent is now £1,332.

Where do YOU think money comes from?
Just like kids who think milk comes from the supermarket, are you of the opinion money comes from a high street bank?
In your case, maybe money comes from an employer or from an asset?
But I'm talking about the source of money
Where does ALL money originate?
