I thought a previous Administration had proven that regime change is fraught with difficulty and unwanted outcomes. The lure of Venezuelan oil beckons like the treasure of the Sierra Madre.

Did you know Scottish generators pay the highest charges in Europe to connect to the grid, while English plants get subsidized? We are penalized for producing green energy. It is a rigged system designed to keep our energy cheap for London and expensive for us.

The NFL should institute a rule that Field Goals may not be attempted unless the spot of the ball is over midfield.

The Founders tried to put limits on power, while still honoring individual prerogatives. Turns out, they were too trusting. People just will not quit being selfish. Our “intellect” has twisted our sense of survival into evil. We’re capable of seeing and avoiding this fault.

The problem with American politics on both sides right now is this:

Politicians are more concerned about how their MESSAGE is being RECEIVED than they are in their POLICIES being EFFECTIVE.

I thought it would be the US turning to renewable energy first, while China and India were stuck on coal and oil.

One thing that really bothers me is that the majority of Senators represent a minority of the population. I cannot imagine that that is what the Founders (hallowed be thy name) intended. Yes, the minority deserves to have leverage, but not control.

It does not appear, to me at least, that the DOJ has done their best to respond to the Congress ref the release of the Epstein files.

Yeah it’s nice to see someone from The Bush Institute speaking up for Ukraine.. might’ve been even better if it was almost 4 years ago.. but I guess we take this

Maybe, if the US is sort of withdrawing from being the global cop, we don’t need a $900B annual Defense budget.

I don’t think Trump is disconnected or unaware of the economic woes many Americans feel. I think he doesn’t care.
A lot of folks don’t care; we’re a self absorbed species. This is an individual first society. But, not the right approach for the elected leader.

In my personal life, I can try to fix things I find out are broken. It is frustrating and unnerving to read so much about the Trump administration’s actions and remain powerless to affect it.

I blame Ralph Waldo Emerson for the brazen foolishness of the elite. He said, “To be great is to be misunderstood,” a mouthful of bubble gum that gives arrogant people grounds to imagine their unpopularity is proof of their acumen.

Remove the dams. Stop polluting the river. Stop removing woody debris and tree cover. Stop letting cattle graze in riparian zones. The salmon populations were in trouble well before the sea lions started moving up river, which they do because the salmon populations are dwindling.

As Trump drives China and India away, does he think they will cease to exist, crumble and come crawling back on his terms? It’s our lives and lifestyles he’s put up.
