Media threads are for hobbyist. I'm a career media enjoyer. I post anything I finish over here.
Pinned
Came to the realization Media Threads are a nightmare to manage in terms of organization, so but I value cataloging things I finish so I'm making it an account.

Each thing will be a separate post so I can freely post a few things about a thing, and just RT them to my main. No need to go yearly.
Spongebob Squarepants: Titans of the Tide (2025)

Pretty good and a nice enough upgrade from The Cosmic Shake from 2023. The character swapping and platforming mechanics feel really tight and everything blends well.

A bit cheap in places lacking sound effects in places in cutscenes but still good.

Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel (2003)

A fairly jank but entertaining Action RPG with a unique story in the world of FMA 03. While a lot of bosses/encounters range from serviceable to kinda bad it has a kickass soundtrack and a genuinely heartfelt and beautiful ending much like the show.

Dispatch (2025)

Excellent Telltale style game. Probably my favorite of those. While it lacks the exploration those games had the Dispatch-style management was really fun.

Great story, acting was top notch and its animated so well. I hope they do a Season 2.

True Crime Streets of LA (2003)

John Woo cinematic action game mixed with a GTA-like sandbox of LA that's like 3-4x the size of GTA5 somehow.
The game is making noises constantly. You fight a North Korean Super General while Minerva by the Deftones plays.

Immaculate game. Nothing else measures up

Your Forma (2025)

Sci-Fi detective show. Its got brain diving, cyber crimes, a lot of plot around robots doing their take on Asimov's law of Robotics.

Adaptation apparently shifts thing around a bunch which explains why it was so confusing and very hard to get invested until the back third.

Silent Hill ƒ (2025)

Silent Hill is well and truly back for the first time in over 20 years. A truly uncomfortable, miserable, and beautiful world.

Grabbing each ending is an immensely satisfying peeling back of the layers on a really incredibly story. A bit too combat focused in the last third.

Gen V Season 2 (2025)

Very impressive both as a new season, picking up post-S4 events from The Boys and most importantly delivering a story that respects and integrates the death of a main cast member respectfully.

Compelling, funny, a bit too gross. Has me very pumped for the end of The Boys.

Pokémon Legends Z-A (2025)

As a sequel to XY, this was pretty fun and satisfying.

Limiting everything to one city was a great move and alongside its quests gave it the vibe of a Yakuza game. New combat is fun and the music is incredible.

The Diamond is Unbreakable of Pokémon.

Einhänder (1997)

One of Square's most underrated games, and one of the best OSTs on the PS1. Einhänder kicks a lot of ass and is incredibly challenging.

Also frames boss fights in such a cinematic way w/ the camera that make it feel like a badass 3D battle while retaining tight 2D shmup controls.

Dead to Rights (2002)

Max Panye x John Woo video game where you fight evil Arabian Drunken Wizards, Ninjas, Clowns, and Evil Super Cops.

Tries to go for the Max Payne Noir narration but its way worse which makes it objectively better and funnier. Torgal the dog doesn't have shit on Shadow.

New Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt (2025)

It's more PSG which means a lot of good bits and some bad stuff. Much less bad stuff this time however with more focus on the demons and the new immaculate angel twinks

A bit too much focus on Panty this time, but I do appreciate Tom Cruise showing up.

Peacemaker Season 2 (2025)

Liked this more than Season 2 honestly. Less focused on big action/threats and more on the internal conflict and character development.

The complaints I hear about the finale especially make me feel like a crazy person. It was gas. Tim Meadows is a treasure.

DanDaDan Season 2 (2025)

Still consistently great in all areas. Evil Eye is probably my favorite new addition.

The romance and comedy continue to be pretty great. Glad Bryce Papenbrook found this new niche in recent years of voicing "Character who sucks and sounds really stupid" its so funny.

Sakamoto Days S1 Part 2 (2025)

Picks up from last season with another 11 good episodes.

More focus on Shin and his abilities this time and is the first time it felt like there were multi-part arcs. Like last time it ends a bit too early for me, need more.

Also the new OP is an all-time banger.

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter (2025)

Fantastic remake of the original that doesn't abandon any of the old stuff, rather just adapts it to the modern Trails style of gameplay.

Great English VA, gorgeous visuals. Only the downgraded localization compared to XSeed's serves as the only blemish on it.

CITY THE ANIMATION (2025)

Immaculate comedy series with peak vibes. Constantly presenting some of the best and inventive animation throughout all its episodes.

Dub is also really really good, though its funny that they didn't even bother to dub the final half of the finale. Come on now.

Pac-Man World 2 Re-Pac (2025)

Excellent remake of the original and is priced really nicely too. Entirely changes bosses and one of the worlds so its worth also checking out the original.

Bursting with post-game content too. Really happy with the entire thing. Some nice story/voice acting as well.

Trails into Reverie (2020)

Easily my favorite of the Trails series by a large margin.

Incredibly fast paced with a unique structure and a combat system that feels like the equivalent of the end of Gurren Lagaan.

Main story was fantastic, as was the side content. Post game finale was incredible.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997)

As a film its probably a bit weaker in terms of characters and writing but has significantly more people being violently eaten so its equals out for me a little.

Looney Tunes Back in Action (2003)

They just let Steve Martin do whatever back then. Daffy Duck deserves to headline all films.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)

Kingdom Hearts III ReMind

Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle (2025)

The first in a trilogy of films adapting the series final arc and it shows. The intent is obviously giving cinematic production values for the shows ending.

I figured, and enjoyed this immensely. Those expecting a normal movie will die in the last 45 minutes.

Lazarus (2025)

Shinichiro Watanabe’s new anime is gorgeous and filled with awesome setpieces and music but also it ends up not really saying anything.

Its take on more episodic storytelling is executed the way detractors for Cowboy Bebop talk about Bebop. Sadly, a style over substance situation.

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance (2025)

Excellent 2D action game with some light Metroidvania stuff. Combat feels great and there's plenty of challenging platforming/traversal stuff. Tee Lopes and Yuzo Koshiro OST and gorgeous visuals.

One of the games of all time.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land + DLC [Switch 2] (2025)

Forgotten Land was already a content rich Kirby game and as their first 3D Kirby surprisingly immaculate.

This Switch 2 version just shines it up, gives it great performance and the new DLC levels/bosses are a great bonus. Final Arena whips ass.
