Nerd. Happily so.

Other things, too, probably.

Weird questions my kids ask me...

4-year-old: "Who was the first baby?"

She carried this ice halfway down the block to her bus stop and is making herself a "cook-off" so she can roast marshmallows.

Kids are great sometimes.

I like trying new stuff, and this had me curious (and, truthfully, a bit unsettled). My curiosity got the best of me.

Oddly, it's better warm than cold--either way, it's definitely a weird flavor adventure.

Parenting is weird and random. I just found this unused sticker between the arm of the couch and the cushion.

I can't fully be trusted with holiday baking and confectionery. #Monstrosity

I can't be trusted alone at a store with my three-year-old. On the plus side, we have a ridiculous plush banana now. #Parenting

There are now 3-5 bus kids who watch for me and/or make faces back at me in the morning.

I'm gaining influence!!
My kids take the bus to school. There was a kid looking out of the window with a forlorn, sad expression one day, so I decided to make silly faces at him during pickup. He smiled. I have done this every day since. He makes faces back at me now, too. I hope this ritual helps him start his day right.

People don't share enough cat pictures lately. If you have a cat, please share a picture of it with me.

I guess sometimes you just gotta take your purse-frog to school...?

Me: "Are you making some soup?"
Husband: "Yeah, I'm making soup..."
Me: "Oh, it's just weird because you're standing there with a knife."
Husband: "Well, you know... sometimes you just need to eat soup with a knife."

Make sure you get a badge and get ready to game at Gary Con in March! Lots of fun events as always including some of the regular schedule (welcome party, cosplay contest, auction, Hawaiian Shirt pic, etc.)!

Maybe you can game at a table with me... which is usually... "an experience."
There are less than 15 Silver Badges available on TTE! Buy one of the last badges currently available at: play.garycon.com

When a three-year-old sings, "Come out today, it's time to play..." it really hits differently in the darkness present at 4:55am. #CreepyToddler #JollyOldSaintNick

Earlier, a neighbor came to tell me how slippery the roads were because he heard me scraping ice off my vehicle. My neighbor was concerned for my safety. #MidwesternNice #HereToStay #Ope

I mostly just let my three, five, and seven-year-old pick out my clothes when I'm indecisive now. I might look a little weird, but it sure does save a lot of time. #ParentingHacks

Gonna just wear these house shoes forever now, because I am further entering my "old lady" phase. May as well embrace the final form as it arrives.

I apologize--I'm supposed to call them "work shoes" for some reason...?? 🤷‍♀️

We had a dance party before bedtime for my kids today. My middlest child now wants to learn how to breakdance.

She's five.

I saw something that said, "The world needs more art teacher energy." Reflecting on how I wore a taco costume to last Friday's game night, at a public place, without any discernably good reason, I now realize I may have missed my true calling.
