Even though the Federal Reserve just cut the US rate by a quarter point, looks like the predictions here in Australia are that rates will be held because inflation has come in at 3% for the Sep quarter. We need to invest in future growth & industries. Dynamism is the key word.

Merit goods. Profit. It’s almost obvious that a social, merit good isn’t as good when you have profit as part of the mix.

Fascinating read from the #australiainstitute. The data matters. Australians are getting ripped off as our natural resources are being taken for free. It's time for Australia to adopt policies that benefit all Australians, not just those in mining. 1/2

Interest rates, productivity, wage growth. The RBA can only do so much for productivity, but really, I think it comes down to quality fiscal policy ... and we're all waiting for something meaningful ... and, apparently, we'll keep waiting.
