Arsenal’s buildup has been heavily focused on the right:

Timber maintains width, Nwaneri operates in the half-space, and Odegaard supports from deeper areas.

Calafiori inverts alongside Partey, enabling Merino to drift higher on the right to create overloads.

The Szoboszlai Conundrum

It seems that Dom is comfortable playing on the left-hand side, esp in the half-spaces. However, Slot has always played Dom on the right of center.

Why?

Huge thanks to Samuel for an interesting discussion.
