Success! 🎉 6:3 from last night’s moth trap with two December moths the highlight; new for my garden. Also LBAM (no surprise there) & a Blair’s Shoulder-Knot. The question is now, do I continue or put the trap away until next year? 🤔 #teammoth #decembermoth

Last night’s moth trap, possibly my last of the year (we’ll see) yielded 14:7 including Dark Arches, Turnip & White-Point. Was hoping for a December moth but no luck #teammoth

A few photos from a recent survey I helped to carry out with @savebutterflies.bsky.social looking for our smallest butterfly, the SMALL BLUE (Cupido minimus). We found 27 which was a good result & indicates a healthy colony 🦋 #butterfly #smallblue

Good heavens! My last moth trap on the 14th yielded 6:5, last night 118:44! Definitely got some practice in extracting & processing 😅 Caught a lovely Pine Hawk-moth, Buff-tip, Buff Ermine & Spectacle amongst lots of other garden firsts #teammoth
