There is an increasing amount of evidence that structured reviews improve communication between editors, reviewers and authors.

This article provides a checklist resulting from systematic testing and qualitative feedback at Elsevier journals over that past two years.
New in EASE journal European Science Editing, @bmehmani.bsky.social and @mariomalicki.bsky.social present a structured checklist of peer review questions to improve consistency and quality of referee reports.
