The worst thing about retirement is that you disappear. Unless you bring friends or fam with you, you exist in a bubble where you are unseen. At my fav brewery and I don't merit even a hello from the owners, who I support by buying beer weekly, holding parties in their space, etc. Sigh.

This week's NIH Funding Notices is just filled with fascist rules for restricting DEI and making it easier to terminate any grant at the pleasure of the Regime. The payline is worse than anytime in history, and new restrictions are put in place continously. They want to kill research in the USA.

250 years of evolving racist, misogynistic history finally have led to the eruption of a White Christain Nationalist government in the USA, where all (and only) white males are now equal in their pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness.
In pointing out to someone that my shirt was Kirkland brand from Costco, I realized that my pants, belt, socks, and even underwear were also from Costco. Only my birkies were not. What does that say about my fashion sense? Paragon or not?
